Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Heavy Duty Tow Truck Driver with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) to join our team. As a Heavy Duty Tow Truck Driver, you will play a crucial role in assisting stranded motorists, recovering disabled vehicles, and transporting heavy vehicles to designated locations. Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy duty tow trucks to safely and efficiently recover disabled vehicles, including commercial trucks, buses, and other heavy equipment.
• Respond to calls in a timely manner and provide exceptional customer service while ensuring the safety of all parties involved.
• Secure vehicles to the tow truck using proper techniques and equipment to prevent damage during transport.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while operating the tow truck on public roads.
• Maintain accurate records of service calls, mileage, and any required paperwork.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on tow trucks (I.E.)(Keep Trucks clean, neat & organized) to ensure they are in proper working condition.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate towing operations.
• Provide roadside assistance, such as changing tires, jump-starting vehicles, and assisting with minor repairs when necessary.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure the well-being of yourself and others at all times.

Qualifications:

• Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with the appropriate endorsements for operating heavy duty tow trucks.
• Proven experience as a tow truck driver, specifically with heavy duty towing.
• Strong knowledge of towing techniques, safety protocols, and relevant regulations.
• Ability to operate a variety of heavy duty tow trucks and equipment.
• Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
• Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers.
• Physically fit and able to handle the physical demands of the job, including lifting heavy equipment and performing roadside assistance tasks.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to pass random drug testing
